04:54 pm i whipped out my dead sexy suit for yet another edition of the ball, and checked the pockets for any year-old tickets which happen to find their way into these sorts of clothes.
there was no ticket, but there was a vanilla flavoured condom. win :D
this is the same one anneke pulled out of the bowl of condoms (yes, there were big bowls of free condoms) and put in my pocket while slyly telling me to "be careful" last year
fun times ahead :D

09:17 am what a stupid and awesome game
type "Name was arrested for" in google and away you go
In December 1991, Tom was arrested for DWI (wow, only 5 years old, not bad tom!)
Until young Tom was arrested for public nudity he thought that working at Hormel would be his life time job!

10:06 pm add a breakdown in brunswick to the meltdown in mentone
received a little brown package in the mail today from the big old americas. it contained 2 dvds in a plastic case. the dvd was named score
yes, i have in my hot little hands SCORE, dream theater's 20th anniversary. after a little shitting of self at seeing the dvd player tell me it wouldn't play region 1 dvds, and a little naughty region unlocking on my part, i was under way
my god, what a show. looked gorgeous, sounded gorgeous, and the octavarium orchestra was brilliantly done
and there's still a disc of extras to go Current Music: Dream Theater - Awake - 02. Caught in a Web

this weekend could only get better.... if port win tomorrow :D
*edit* i wonder, since my centrelink application is dragging its ass to be completed, assuming it's successful, i wonder if i'll get some big ass lump sum back-payment of like $1000 or some ludicrous amount like that. not surprisingly, the centrelink online services are down, so i can't check when i submitted my application *shrug* it'd be 4-6 weeks by now i suppose

August 3rd, 2006
08:59 am so in a couple of days i turn a score years old, and a score and 2 days after that dream theater score is unleashed. needless to say, i'm waiting in anticipation for the time when i get my grubby hands on Score and Dark Side of the Moon DVDs than my silly berfday
olds arrive today. baldwin couldn't come for drinkydinks last night. damn asians, their stupidity still manages to amaze me

03:52 pm - It's a Farewell to Things! my my how time does fly can't believe i've been on holidays for 4 weeks already, but i have been :-O looking forward to going back to uni this semester, looking forward to getting back to my humble abode. neuro and endocrine will be fun no doubt.
end of holidays is coming at just the right time too. late enough that i'm not wishing i had an extra couple of days, and soon enough that i'm not getting annoyed waiting around for the time to come. i envisage things will change for the better every semester, but they generally don't, oh well. hopefurry i'll make the effort to learn to cook some new dishes
avcon this weekend, setup tomorrow. going to be a fun weekend. no doubt there will be some last minute hitches as there always are. matt is giving me the "work it out on the day!" line regarding tourneys... he's continuing the legacy left by gobbo in fine form. but as i said, will be fun, staff challenges will be a bit more exciting this year, something about me playing ping pong on the 360 against random chumps, who if they win go into the draw to win a copy of the game. oh those wacky ideas
hopefully i won't be flat out all weekend, but i imagine i might be :(
drank some good beers on tuesday night. played The Warriors on ps2. playing a mission where you're overdosing on flash, while being drunk is an interesting concept. luckily tom seems more than apt at such a mission while drinking more than enough cheap port (while $5 for 10 standard drinks of port is certainly a bargain, i draw the line somewhere, and generally that line is VB)
mmm. full day of Mitchell-con setup tomorrow. thank god i don't have to arrive at 8am Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: Rush - A Farewell to Kings - Closer To The Heart

03:17 pm - and we're marching to bastille day! good news everyone! i remembered Unofficial International RUSH Day #2
BASTILLE DAY!
See them bow their heads to die as we would bow when they rode by!
finished final fantasy viii... finally. took a good 65 hours, but it was fun, and now i've had my final fantasy fix for at least the next semester, which incidentally i started reading a little bit on today (and when i say a little bit i mean... 5 minutes so far :D)... the brain is such a fascinating thing
lol, we had an abusive note left by the prick next door about a note left to him that wasn't even written by any of us

interesting thing to remember waking up on first morning of exams
huzzah i'll be finished in 8 days time! only 9 hours in the exhibition building plus a while sitting in the wright theatre, and it will be a third semester down, 2 semesters to go.... then 2 of AMS... then 5 of clinicals. :O Current Mood: volatile Current Music: Enjoy.. the SILENCE!

09:48 pm westpac charged me 65c to get a mini-statement from the ATM the other day... assholes
this wouldn't be a problem... if i had more than 98c left in my account. oh well, hopefully in getting that mini-statement, i'll have countless riches poured into it.. hopefully
in more important news, ams is just about a done deal
As a very active research Department, we ofcourse would be happy to accept you as a research trainee in 2007.
sounds like there will be no barriers at all to me getting a place there, and it was much easier than i expected... a little too easy... but i shan't complain ^_^
judging by the response, there's a huge range of stuff i can choose from, although it doesn't look like they do much in the area of sports medicine
still feeling sik. damn wogs. damn study
was randomly looking up all of the infectious diseases i have. turns out episodes of herpes simplex virus 1 (don't worry, type 2 is the STD type ;)) can be brought on by stress, amongst other things. why doesn't that surprise me Current Mood: bouncy Current Music: Pink Floyd - Money

does the MSS want me to not live to see the end of uni??
anyway, fired off my first AMS e-mail, to the department of orthopaedics and trauma at aderade uni. really really hope i get it, i could do with a year of queen sized bed, home-cooked meals and sleepy adelaide beer drinking (i mean... fun!)

08:16 pm so.. Queensryche touring Australia.. i'd probably see them if i was in melbourne at the time, but as luck would have it, it's a week before i go back for 2nd semester :-( i don't think they're worth making the trek over, especially when i have no money
in more interesting news, Ayreon is fucking pure bliss. this smelly eurotrash man is awesome, and not only because he had James LaBrie doing some of the vocals on his 2004 effort The Human Equation, not ONLY because by my count 4 of his 7 albums have linking storylines, but because they're pure pwnage Current Mood: +1 Long Neck Current Music: Rush - I Think I'm Going Bald
